Team Popcore's Links of Whimsy
I am a sailor of the high seas smuggling coal and counterfeiting Ether and I toss the juicy spoils of my adventures into your fetid komputor.

The Ephemera Society
Dedicated to the preservation and study of those "minor transient documents of everyday life": posters, tickets, packaging, handbills, things not made to be put under glass for posterity, things that make me very excited. Ephemera tells stories of social and cultural change. Ephemera is beautiful and fascinating.

Click Opera
I recently came upon this little gem. Momus (yes, of music fame) writes eloquently and intelligently about art, culture, cities and other things of import. I am so jealous. I really do urge you to read it - always interesting, well-written and educational.

Smythson of Bond Street
Now, this very clearly is the ill shit. Delicious, tactile leather; gorgeous high-quality paper; extravangance galore! I am a new slave to Smythson even though the prices make me fall over.

A Dolly's World: Doll Wigs
The wigs here are at great prices so, if like me, you enjoy putting realistic wigs onto the plastic heads of little humanoid playthings, then take a look. The real stars of the show are the webmaster's dolls though. I'm still having nightmares. It's probably all an elaborate cover for a thrill-kill Satanist cult.

VLC media player
A nifty application that plays all (well, almost all) video and audio file formats known to man. If VLC can't play it, you must be gay. Available for most operating systems, free and you can do full screen. Pah to you Quicktime!

Bit Torrent
Instead of everyone swamping one source for a download, Bit Torrent allows downloaders to share the burden of uploading. As I am downloading a file other people are getting the same file from me; we are all sharing the parts that we have downloaded so far with those who haven't got there yet. The more popular a file is, the quicker your download will be. Team Popcore says, "Yay!"

Gnoosic
"Gnod is my experiment in the field of artificial intelligence. It's a self-adapting system, living on this server and 'talking' to everyone who comes along. Gnod's intention is to learn about the outer world and to learn 'understanding' its visitors. This enables gnod to share all its wisdom with you in an intuitive and efficient way. You might call it a search-engine to find things you don't know about."

Try out Gnoosic - help gnod learn. It's strangely addictive.

Music CD prices to go down.
The music industry is finally listening to the consumers and Universal Music have decided to cut the price of their CDs, including all items in their back catalogue. Jesus, it's about time that they realised that this is the way to combat piracy and file-sharing! People would actually buy more records if the prices were at all reasonable, man. Hopefully, this move will push up more competition and yield lower music prices across the board, not only for Universal group artists.

Vice Magazine
Vice is one of the best magazines I've ever had the fortune to read. Leaning to the left-field and underground, they always feature interesting artists, musicians and nutters. The Dos and Don'ts section has everyone howling in hysterics. Vice knows its shit. And it's free. That's FREE.

Posh or Common?
Where do you stand on the scale of posh or common? Are you a pikey or, as my brother might say, a poshard? Are you hopelessly common like me and think that having Tip Top with tinned fruit for pudding is a normal part of every British childhood? (Come one, really. What insane person hasn't had Tip Top before?)
